May 2022 – Walking Over Performance Review

Hi All,

Good Day,

Let me share May, 2022 walking steps ..

Accumulated Steps 1,078,877 with daily average of 34,803 Steps/day..27.84 KM/Day (@1250 Steps/KM)..more than half Marathon (21.1 KM). Probably, this is life time highest monthly average. Actually, I had less walking in April ’22. Adopted “Push on it, Fitness has no limit”, I put myself to the limit in May’22. With your moral supports, I am pursuing my epic walking journey of walking, 100,001 KM by 2033 or earlier.

  • > 50,000 Steps/Day – 1 Day
  • >40,000 & <50,000 Steps/Day – 12 Days
  • >30,000 & <40,000 Steps/Day – 10 Days
  • >20,000 & <30,000 Steps/Day – 3 Days
  • >10,000 & <20,000 Steps/Day – 4 Days
  • < 10,000 Steps/Day – 1 Day
  • In April, 16 Days no mapped walking; overall walking 16625 Steps/Day Vs required rate 25000 Steps/Day

Next Short/Medium targets (As on 31st May 2022 – YTD) are –

  • Mission Silicon Valley [17/01-09/07/2022 – 174 Days] – @25000 Steps/Day – Total 4,350,000 Steps – YTD Requirement 29286 Steps/Day
  • Independence Walk [10/05 – 15/08/2022] – 0.5 Marathon (21.1 KM/Day, 26375 Steps/Day) daily or more – YTD Requirement 21260 Steps/Day
  • Gandhi Jayanti Walk [15/08 – 02/10/2022] – 0.5 Marathon (21.1 KM/Day, 26375 Steps/Day) daily or more
  • Republic Walk [15/08/2022 – 26/01/2023] – 0.5 Marathon (21.1 KM/Day, 26375 Steps/Day) daily or more
  • Great America Rail Trail – 8th March 2023 – YTD Requirement 28565 Steps/Day, Revised Target – 31-10-2022
  • 55555 KM by 31th December 2022 – YTD Requirement 26537 Steps/Day
  • 10th Year walking by 10th May 2023
  • 86 million Steps [Arthur Blessitt’s record walking over 50 years] by 31.12.2024 – YTD Requirement 26553 Steps/Day
  • Medium term target of walking virtually from Cape Town, South Africa to Magadan, Russia – 22387 KM by 10th May 2026, started on 11th May 2022..YTD Requirement 28274 Steps/Day

In order to achieve above, I have to maintain 9th year performance or better over next 2.5 years..i.e.26445 Steps/Day.

Till date [31/05/2022], Walked Past 51012 KM..
